NZ Humanists Merger

The NZARH welcomes the NZ Humanists – who are now our Wellington branch!

The New Zealand Humanists held an SGM on Tuesday the 5th of November, and voted to pass the motion:

That the Humanist Society of New Zealand (Incorporated) wind up and transfer all remaining assets to Humanists International.

At the AGM in October, members passed the motion for the Humanist Society of New Zealand to become a branch of the NZARH.

The NZ Humanists would like to transfer their existing memberships to the NZARH (most members are already members of both) and point their website to the NZARH site for info on how to join.

The group is now operating as a branch of NZARH, and will continue to hold regular meetings and respond to public consultations that relate to Humanism.

Monthly meetings will resume in Wellington at the Thistle Inn in March 2025. The Humanist NZ newsletter will continue as a collaboration with the NZARH.
