Sara Passmore

Sara is a humanist who has previously worked as Head of Education and Promotion for Humanists UK. She is a doctoral candidate at Te Herenga Waka | Victoria University of Wellington. Her research explores what happens in community organisations when they partner with the Government to deliver social services.

Sara is currently co-chair of Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP, and President of the Humanist Society of New Zealand. Her previous roles include board member of Wellington Women’s House (a charity providing housing and support for women moving from homelessness), and a member of the Community Governance Aotearoa Steering Group.

Sara lives in Lower Hutt with her cat and her partner, and enjoys nothing more on the weekend than tramping over some mountains with friends.
