Robert Nola is a retired professor of philosophy who taught at the University of Auckland for 47 years. Amongst other things he taught philosophy of science, philosophy of atheism and materialism; he also published extensively in these areas.
He has been a long-time member of NZARH. Currently he is member of the Council. In this role he hopes to take the understanding of atheism to a wider audience outside the university and to provide an alternative world-view to that commonly found in religions.
